Galaxy 3-1 Colorado

By: Laurie | September 12th, 2007

I guess there are two ways for the Galaxy to get a win. Either I have to actually be at the game (like the DC Superliga game) or I have to leave the country.

Bonjour from Paris! I’m having a delightful time, and to say I’m looking forward to tonight’s game is the understatement of the year. There are about 15,000 Scotsmen running around Paris in kilts in preparation for the game, and I expect great entertainment value for my Euros.

But the good (and belated) news for Galaxy fans is that we beat Colorado 3-1!! Woohoo! I’m trying to get out of the internet cafe (which is actually a single computer stuck in the back of a newspaper stand), so if you haven’t read about it I’ll turn you over to the Galaxy homepage. Enjoy!

The good news for Galaxy fans is that I’ll be out of the country for the next two games as well, so maybe they have a chance. Go Galaxy!

And Allez les Bleus!!

  • Every loss feels like such a disappointment and I am not even a fan. What was attendance for last nights game?

    Sorry about les boys Laurie.
  • Sorry about the inadvertent question mark. French keyboard. I'll just learn to use it and it will be time to come home.
  • Jack? I know Cannon is recovering from an injury, but I was never able to find details. Perhaps I can give an educated guess now that it was his knee?

I got tix to go (for free!) and I returned all the plastic bottles and cans in the garage to get the parking fee and we went to HDC for the first time. It was really something... and to top it off the boys won! Atmosphere, energy, excitement and free tix (thanks to disgruntled ex-Becks fans who gave us their little yellow magic slips). Everything was zinging that night because the 405 was virtually empty and moving, and moving at over 70mph the whole way down there!

I wonder how the HDC can stay in operation with such an idiotic parking situation.

My wife turned to me and said, "it's like the old days with Hermasillo and Cienfuegos, we even get to see Cobi Jones playing the full time." I still despise Martino... he was sloppy and inaccurate... despite the one goal. If he scored a goal or two a match, I'd put up with sloppy style, but he's not that good so I still don't like him. I'm rethinking my dislike of Klein... but in my mind... Cobi's presence made the diff. Either that or I'm just nostalgic. I sang the one more year song with the Galaxians over the tunnel. Great fun.

Why does Cannon's right knee look like it doesn't go fully straight? Is he injured or is it an old injury, a defective knee or something? He limps when he walks. I never noticed on the teevee.
