An Icky Story to Start Your Day

chicken-bones.jpgI’m snowed in and haven’t even had my morning coffee yet, so I could have done without this article. And since misery loves company, I just had to share it with you. You’re welcome!

Seems Beckham is so loved in New Zealand that they want to eat his scraps. Or they want to do something with his scraps. And all the thoughts coming to my mind are leaving me with a single-word refrain: EWWWWWWW!!!!!

When the football superstar made an impromptu visit to Nando’s restaurant in Wellington for a chicken dinner on Friday, a crowd of admirers waited until he had finished the meal and then rushed in to grab the scraps.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Nando’s worker Jody told Sunday News.

“He was sitting in a booth and as soon as he left people came in and started grabbing his leftover food.”

Now I know you’re wondering, what were those scraps? Well, I can tell you. They were the remains of the following dinner:

“He ordered a whole chicken, corn, coleslaw and fries…and he gave it all a really good go. There were only the chicken bones, a few chips and some corn for the fans to take away.”

I can just see the tabloid headlines nine months from now: From Corn to Love Child: How I extracted Beckham’s DNA from scraps and used it to have his baby.

Ick. Just…ick.
