Pictures and Interviews from the Minnesota-Galaxy Game
By: Laurie | November 15th, 2007
Thunder fan and writer/photographer Brian Quarstad from Blue Sky Soccer sent me the links to a whole bunch of news from the Thunder-Galaxy game, largely from the perspective of the Thunder players and fans. Very different (and more interesting, in my opinion) from the all-Beckham, all the time perspective of the mainstream media.
First we have an audiocast he did that includes interviews with fans in Minnesota, most of whom were there to see Beckham.
He also sent me a pregame article with some interviews with Minnesota players. (Hey what can I say? Better late than never. This was in one of the comments that my spam filter ate and then spit back out last night.)
And then we have a pregame podcast with the story of how the game came about.
And last but not least, we at last have some photos of the game. Be sure to check out photo 24, CoJones in a suit while everyone else is in uniform. Nice, but…strange.
UPDATE: This just in on Thursday afternoon, more audio interviews including David Beckham, Landon Donovan and Alexi Lalas (Beckham cracks me up. Always so tactful, even when talking about field turf! And the Lalas #1 tape discusses the coacing situation with Ruud and Cobi.)
Thanks for sharing with Galaxy fans, Brian!
P.S. Brian, if the blue guy in Photo 18 is the Thunder mascot? Creepy. I hope they don’t take him to visit sick children.

They all look strange in those suits. The Galaxy either need to lose the Hugo Boss tie-in or he needs to come up with something that doesn’t make them look like they’re either going to a funeral or a grim prep school. I mean, really, is there anyone who looks good in a maroon tie?
