Beckhamless Galaxy Seeks Butts in Seats

David who?

The Galaxy is offering a sweet deal on tickets for several upcoming games. Thank Mr. Goldenballs, or Mr. Bush/Obama (whoops! a political reference!), but at these prices it might be worth the traffic crunch and air quality to head down HDC way.

Will these prices get you to the game?

Section: Reversed Pricing (Standard Prices)
Sideline: $14 ($75)
Corner: $24 ($50)
2nd Level Sideline – Center:$34 ($40)
Endline: $40( $34)
General Admission: $50 ($24)
2nd Level Sideline – Wide: $75 ($14)

This deal is available for the club’s league matches against Colorado (April 4), Chivas USA (April 11), New York (May 2), Columbus (May 17) and Houston (June 28).

Actually those second level seats give you the best view of the action. I mean you aren't as close to the players but you can see each and every move made.

I suppose the reversed pricing scale is somewhat creative, but that pretty much guarantees they won't sell out any of those games. I mean, who would pay $75 for 2nd level seats?

Yeah Nathan, I was wondering how the season ticket holders would feel about these prices. I'd definitely get on the phone with my ticket rep and see if anything could be done to lower my price-per-game ticket for those games.

Now, if only DirectKick would lower their prices . . .

I don't think there's any accident that the cheapest tickets also happen to be those that are in the television picture most often.
  • I'd have to see your map to figure out exact comparisons, but these are very similar to what we're paying in Seattle.
