The Leak of the New Galaxy Jersey Photos

Somebody at Adidas is in a lot of trouble. Or do you think they did this to get more press? Because if they did, it’s working, isn’t it?
According to Billy Witz**,
“This image of the new jersey was accidentally posted online. Over the past six months, the look of the Galaxy’s new uniforms, which were to be unveiled next week with the bright-lights arrival of David Beckham, had been guarded by the team and adidas with Fort Knox-like security.
As it turns out, the kit’s out of the bag.
The new uniform was inadvertently posted for a brief time last weekend on adidas.com before the mistake was noticed and the item was pulled by Sunday.
Adidas, Galaxy and Major League Soccer, who have spent months planning the details on how best to maximize the impact of Beckham’s arrival, have been scrambling since to keep the new look under wraps.
Orders that had been paid for were canceled and postings of the redesigned jerseys on message boards that do business with the league and adidas were deleted.”
Oops. Somebody messed up.
The Big Soccer posts showing pictures of or links to the jersey were taken down, but as of yesterday people were still putting them back up.
Hmm. I don’t think we do business with the league. So so I’ll post this again. And I’m also working on getting a copy of the away jersey photo. Stay tuned. (Galaxy guys, remember: Information wants to be FREE!)
