It’s about time we had another one of these!

The Galaxy have the weekend off, but make sure you catch LD with the USMNT on Saturday, 6:00 Pacific, on ESPN2 and Telefutura. According to the USMNT site those times and channels are accurate, though I can’t find them to record on my DVR just yet. I’m also out of town this weekend so I’ll see you next week.

In case you weren’t paying attention earlier this week, Landon Donovan was named MLS Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters. So congratulations, Landon!

But I think he deserves more.

In fact, I think North American Soccer Bloggers should start our own awards. Starting…now. And since there was no time to bring in other blogger-voters? As the current sole NASB representative, I hereby nominate and elect as our Player of the Week…

Congratulations, Landon, on receiving yet another award this week. I couldn’t come up with a trophy on such short notice, but you can have your pick of flat size 3 soccer balls from my downstairs closet. And I’ll throw in a pair of old shinguards. Which I swear have been washed sometime in the last six months.

I love children. Particularly precocious ones.

And I am sure the paparazzi completely deserved it.

As a mom, I’m quite impressed with his fine motor skills. Do you know how hard it is to do this when you’re three?

(It’s a youngest child thing. My baby has also always been quite old for his age.)
