After watching the Galaxy-San Jose game, I have been inspired to write my first Galaxy limerick of 2008.

No, don’t thank me. It’s what I do.

The Limerick Dedicated
to Alan Gordon’s Wayward Laces

The Galaxy send the ball through
And the players all know what to do
The HDC rocks
’cause the ball’s in the box
But Gordon is tying his shoe

The playoffs need vigor and zest
And your players are wanting to rest
Keep Angel and Jozy

Salvaged our game from its grayness
His own safety rejected
He got guys ejected
While pulling cleats out of his…um…ankle

(Can somebody please tell me how I made it to adulthood with a mind this juvenile?)

I couldn’t wrap my brain around my traditional Friday limerick, so instead I bring you a…a…another poem. I have no idea what you call it. (So I wasn’t an English major. Sue me.) I also can’t make the annoying new WordPress upgrade accept commands like “Center,” so this isn’t, y’know, visually up to my standards. I’m trying to adjust.
