I Knew Someone Would Come Through With the Donovan Tinkle Tapes!

By: Laurie | February 8th, 2008

Who loves you guys?

Me, of course!

(Well, me and Andrea Canales, who found the video. I’m glad she did, because I never would have picked the right search strings myself. “Desecrates”? Giggle.)

But anyhoo. You asked for it, you got it. Here we have the entire US-Mexico rivalry summed up, including our Landon creating an international incident with his bodily functions.

Countries have gone to war over less, Landon. You might keep that in mind next time.

JustJack, my favorite was when they cut away to a lovely young lady in the stands during a free-kick! Not that I have anything against showing stands filled with lovely young ladies, but there were enough "injury" moments to cut away from. I SO hope I can find all the matches on my Spanish channels this year!
  • Thanks for posting it!! I knew somebody would come through for us.

I posted this video. I read lots of people saying that it was made up, but he did urinate on the field. Disgusting!!
  • What's really funny? I subscribe to google alerts for all the players, so if their names show up on the web, it will come to me.

They send me back my own stuff semi-frequently. Sadly, it's rarely for my well-written, erudite posts. This one, though? In my in-box within an hour.

I think I'll frame it and send it to my mother. She will be so proud.
  • Jack, I believe that we should dub this scandal "TinkleGate."

    Or maybe...maybe... WATERGATE!!

Oh. Wait. That one's taken. TinkleGate it is.
  • THANK YOU

    my life is complete

The tinkle tapes.. hahahahahaha! I love that! Puts it in perspective... it was a training pitch and the potty was too far away... entirely too much made of "he urinated on Mexican soil" ah, crankety crankety. Then the comment coming from Luis "Hawktooey" Hernandez (and ex-Galactico, remember?) that is just not only harmless but thoroughly unsurprising. Remember all the spitting and buffoonery when he was stateside? I was bummed when he finally grew up to be a big boy it was too little too late, oy vey, Luis.

I was impressed by Mexico's much less foulage than usual and superb skills throughout the match--granted it was a "friendly." And I enjoyed the USA yutes getting some valuable time in a very hot environment. Especially exciting to see Lando playing football for a change and Jozy A-l-t-i-d-o-r-e!

But ESPN outta be absolutely burned to the ground for it's screwy camera work. These guys can't cover football to save their lives! A critical play, (Dempsey's offside--no-goal) and where's the camera? panning the stadium?! Stoopid, stoopid, stooopid! Then a quick flash of the actual footage some ten minutes later on that would have salved tempers, like mine! Idiots. Morons. I thought since there was no Wynaldo we'd have a decent coverage... they just don't know what the hell they're doing over there at the Mouse.

"we have a rivalry here (in Brazil) with Argentina"

The flag is not showing up. :)

This US-Mexico rivalry is ridiculous, we have a rivalry here with Argentina that lasts for 70 years and never went this far.

So Luiz Hernandez said " im going to kill your mom" ..??
What a loser. That is why i have very little respect for the Mexican Natl team .
