Earth to Posh: Get OVER Yourself!

Why do I post these things? I have no idea. Maybe because the words “Victoria Beckham” and “schadenfreude” go together like peanut butter and jelly? Or maybe I’m just a horrible person. There’s also that possibility. Whatever.

An unsourced post from the site “I Don’t Like You In That Way” says that Victoria has managed to piss off pretty much everybody at NBC with her imperious ways.

We think she’s full of herself and not very nice. She’s very picky, demanding and rude. And she was mean to the assistants, too. She waltzes around with her icy attitude. People will walk up to her and say, ‘Welcome to America’, or, ‘Good luck with the move’, and she doesn’t even stop to talk to them. The show is designed to make her a star in the States, but she’s dreaming if she thinks that’s going to happen. She’s coming off as a grade-A bitch!”

And not only that, she’s boring, too. (Okay, we’d heard that already from other sources. Actually, we’ve heard all of this from other sources.)

No one knows what to do with her to make the show interesting - she’s so boring! Every suggestion the producers make, she rejects.”

But the best/worst/funniest/saddest part is in the comments, where “Alastair” says:

What? Like you didn’t already know? Here in England she did a show interviewing some people and it was total crap. She’s gormless, unintelligent and has nothing of even the slightest interest to say. Her “marriage” is a total sham, and, yes, she’s a complete fake. She can’t sing, even slightly, and I should know. Why? I was a recording engineer for over 20 years and worked on the first Spice Girls record (when they were just called Spice) and we all knew her as “Bimbo Spice” or “Talentless Spice”. Frankly, if you yanks want her you’re welcome to her, cus the UK is sick of her and glad to get rid. I hope y’all enjoy her fake plastic bazookas. And FYI, “posh” implies class, which is the antithesis of all that she is. To us she’s a “pikey”, which roughly translated into American means “greasy trailer park trash”.

Ooh. Ouch. Ax to grind after all these years?

Methinks Posh is doomed here. Americans can forgive boring if you’re nice, and bitchy if you’re interesting. But boring AND bitchy? The kiss of death.

And just for the record: David continues to grow on me.

UPDATE: Reader Diane sends a link to a retraction, which is probably related to this story(?) I couldn’t find a link to the original to know for sure. And it’s not clear in the first quote above that they’re referring to the actual filming. So who did the quotes actually come from? THAT would be an interesting story.

On April 24, Bang Showbiz and www.tonight.co.za ran a story from Bang Showbiz claiming that Victoria Beckham had upset the film crew on her new US reality TV show with her behaviour.
Bang has now been informed that shooting on the NBC series has not yet commenced and is not due to begin for another seven to 10 days.
Victoria is also yet to meet the crew she will be working with when filming does start.
Bang and www.tonight.co.za apologise unreservedly for this error and wishes Victoria the best of success in her new project.
