It’s Dominatrix Chic as Posh Takes “Woman of the Year” Award

Good girl! But who can we send to tell her? I think the least offside can do for the cause is to send you to catch a few games and talk some sense into the frighteningly misguided. I am with you on the entire issue of girls, including the hollywood disposable babies who keep being told that they aren't happy because they aren't thin enough or whatever enough...a sick world that destroys both women and men but vilifies women so much more. Holler whenever you want company on THIS box.

BTW you should have heard my list of young hollywood men who have done hideous illegal immoral and violent things and never been "hated" in the tabs as the young women are...ooh, this might be turning out to be a world of football related comment after all!!!

Not that anyone's asked me of course, but I think she needs to pull a Princess Diana. Now that Diana's ten years dead, it's easy to forget what a flighty, brainless, fashion-and-appearance-obsessed (and dreadfully unhappy) thing she was for so many years. (Scary thing? Is Posh starting to look like her or what?) When she discovered meaningful causes she was passionate about, like landmines, her life suddenly developed meaning and she earned some respect in the process. And she seemed to become much happier and did some real good at the same time.

The pervasive obsession with how people LOOK over what they DO is incredibly unhealthy. Which is why I feel so much disgust for "fashion designers," (including Posh) fashion magazines, etc. whose sole purpose in life is to make people, women especially, unhappy with the way they currently are so that they'll spend money on how the "designers" think they should look. (Which is frequently an outfit as ridiculous as what Posh is wearing in the above picture.)

One of my favorite music videos of all time is Pink's "Stupid Girls," about just this issue. The take-home message: Send girls outside with a ball (of any shape or color.) Encourage them to get their clothes dirty and skin their knees and break their nails. The whole world would be better off.

Whew! I didn't realize I was climbing on my soapbox when I started this. Getting off now.

Even the a few years ago and now comps are sad...I'm getting that averring my eyes from the scene of an accident feeling more and more. And I'm the one (I think literally one) who's been somewhat sympathetic with the girl for having a job and her own money while the headlines shriek about her off spending hubbies', and for not being the one who's had affairs (or the one caught...should anyone have had said affairs of course), and for learning how to starve at dancing school so that she could step up like a champ in typical girl-celeb fashion whenever particularly under fire. But this is getting a little disturbing even for me to ponder. Where is the girl's mother? SOMEONE needs to tell her to relax ...if she's knee deep in scientologists maybe she could at least get one of their famous massages.

Funny, there was an article in some magazine about that, listing all of the surgeries "experts" thought she'd had. It included "before" pictures from when she was eighteen -- sweet-faced, dark-haired, a little chubby, and totally NORMAL looking. The difference between then and now is surreal and kind of sad.

Is it just me or is Posh slowly undergoing a Michael Jackson-esque transformation?
