Landon Loves Him Some Riot Squad

Before the Chelsea game July 21, Landon Donovan and his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, handed the Riot Squad an envelope with $600. On the envelope was a handwritten note from Bianca to the Riot Squad thanking its members for their support. The money, a big surprise to the Riot Squad, certainly will provide the best tailgate ever and clearly meant more to the Riot Squad than anything Landon has ever done — everything except winning an MLS Cup with the Galaxy in 2005.

So now Landon is the favorite player of Riot Squad-ers everywhere.

At least till Beckham does something like charter a plane to take them all to Australia for the November exhibition match.

Hey, he could afford it, right?

I have no idea for the reason behind the dollar amount. Probably just something arbitrary or maybe LD knows LARS likes to drink a lot of beer.

Dave, it happened July 21 before the Chelsea game. I read it in a link from July 31. So old is a matter of perspective... Whether this has also happened in the past I have no clue.

You know what's funny is that when he was playing for San Jose, LARS hated him with a passion. When he joined the Galaxy, there was some apprehension, but now with this gesture, I think LARS is chanting "One of us!"
