Ooh! Look! It’s TWO Trashy, Tasteless Posh and Becks Pics

What can I say? I’m ending my Beckham-free period with a vengeance. These are from a photo spread in “W” magazine. Whatever that is. Fashion, apparently — not in my realm of expertise. Or interest. But they do delightful sleazy photos.

Don’t you just love the cheap motel aspect, complete with naugahyde chair and rumpled harvest-gold bedspread? How long has it been, do you think, since Posh and Becks were so desperate that they just couldn’t control themselves and had to stop at a by-the-hour motel where they probably don’t change the sheets between visitors? Yesterday, maybe?

And next we have the snarling “How DARE you take a photo of us as we’re about to get up to no good on the hood of our old, battered car!” photo. Realistic, no?

Oh, and one more Beckham thing, for the record. Posh denies the whole diamond-encrusted vibrator thing. (Which remember, by the way, I got from the relatively legitimate LA Times. I don’t make these things up. No, really.)

“It isn’t true,” Victoria said, her voice calm and measured. “We do buy each other nice things,” she admitted, but some things get exaggerated. “I don’t have a diamond-encrusted vibrator.”

Some things get exaggerated. Okay. So maybe it’s just rubies and emeralds?

  Forgive me, I haven’t read your whole blog, but I do get the impression you are not looking forward to Becks coming to LA Galaxy. Yes, the Beckham circus is a pain and yes the whole ‘Posh’ thing is ludicrous, but wait until you see him play week in, week out. The guy is different class. When you get past all the hype, he is actually a nice bloke too… You have all this to come…

  Max, I may give that impression occasionally, but that’s not how I really feel!! I don’t like the circus, and I wish the guy could just show up and play, but I like Beckham the player, I like his style of play, and I’m thrilled by the way he’s rejuvenated his career after being written off as dead.

  Whether he’ll be able to save the Galaxy, though, remains to be seen.
