The True Story of Why I Didn’t Post Yesterday
By: Laurie | May 11th, 2007I was going to try to crank out a post yesterday. I really was. I had about twenty free minutes last night, and I was singlemindedly thinking, “Galaxy post! Must write Galaxy post!”
But first… Well, what can I say? I have my priorities, folks. So first I had to check in with my favorite guilty pleasure, Kickette. And what happened next was not my fault.
Because Kickette is hosting a thigh-off. Yes, a thigh-off. She’s posting pictures of the thighs of famous footballers. But normally I could have handled that easily in couple of minutes. The problem was, though? She appointed her readers as judges. And again, what can I say? I take my responsibilities seriously. I am a slave to duty. And in this case that duty required not just passing judgments on the three sets of thighs currently being voted on, but also clicking on all of the links that my fellow judges posted offering their thoughts on superior thigh sets.
Its an ugly job, people, but somebody’s gotta do it.
The good news, though, is that I should have a couple of free hours later today, so I’m hoping to have something to post on last Tuesday’s game or tomorrow’s game. Or at the very least more Beckham garbage.
Unless more Kickette photos are posted. In which case… Well, duty calls.

That pic of Canna hardly counts as an adequate thigh shot to make a solid judgement, but I doubt you’re complaining.

Ah, Laurie. Dear Laurie. Perhaps the time has come to remove the prefix of “guilty pleasure” when referring to our humble blog. Admit it: you feel no guilt whatsoever looking at thunder thighs. No one will judge, least not this gal

Ah, Miss V, I am far too old and too married to ever admit to visiting your site without guilt.
The key words here are “admit to.”
