Want Beckham to do a Cameo in Your Show? Here’s What NOT to do
By: Laurie | July 31st, 2007
So let’s say you’re the writer in a popular TV show. And let’s say you want a certain soccer superstar to play a cameo role. What should you not do?
Well, perhaps it would be best if you didn’t have one of your character’s say something like this:
“Our union is as solid as the union between your David and Posh Spice. Oh, he did that? With his assistant? That’s so sad, OK, moving on.”
Rumor has it that this speech by Marge Simpson in 2004 (the year the “alleged” affair so did NOT happen) is the reason Becks recently turned down a role in The Simpsons.
Doh!
It’s okay, though. Ronaldo was a better actor anyway.
(Check out that portion of the Simpson’s episode, below. VERY funny.)
