The Galaxy Officially Blogs

By: Laurie | November 25th, 2007

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is: The LA Galaxy now have an official blog.

The bad news is: Well, dammit, it pains me to admit this, but it’s really good. Well-written and interesting and filled with all kinds of details about the team and players that we’ve spent time desperately wanting to know, such as why certain players aren’t making certain trips.

Although I probably could have happily lived the rest of my life without knowing that Ty Harden and Kyle Martino didn’t go to Australia and New Zealand because they’ve had hernia surgery. But maybe that’s just me.

So. Is there still a role for an unofficial blogger now that we’re suddenly getting so much official information?

I think the answer is yes. Keep in mind here that the Galaxy blog is official. This means that they will never, ever give you WAG snark or show photos of Beckham with his hand down his shorts, or discuss groin injuries in anything but an appropriate fashion. And where’s the fun in that?

So I’ll tell you what you do: First, you go there and get the official, Alexi-approved version of events. And then, second, you come here to get the snark about the Alexi-approved version of events.

No step one without also continuing on to step two. Are we clear on this?

Okay. Here’s your link.

Can you be step one PLEASE? My good news is that you've linked me to the cure for insomnia. My bad news is that means I'll never stay awake long enough to get back here :( .
  • Snark shall live. Official could become integral, but perhaps not entertaining. I like my news with a laugh when possible. Keep up the good work!
  • I agree with Martha. Remember that I am a Kyle Martino fan beyond all reason. :-)
  • Wait, you want unbiased, Marcos? Where are you getting that? :-)
  • Frank, don't stop posting. :-) But I'm happy to delete the duplicate posts.

Please delete duplicate posts. Again. I'm sorry. Don't know what went wrong.

I don't expect the LAG site blog to employ the "snark" technique to its postings. So, don't worry, Laurie, nothing has really changed. I will continue to seek out your unique perspective on all things LAG/MLS.

Personally, I prefer an UNBIASED view of things. Keep doin' your thing.
