He has said that he feels he's got a few more years in him for national play. And he's got the work ethic and dedication to do it. He would be a great example to the younger English players who are the future of the team. Will Beckham play in 2010? He's also said that 100 caps is just a milestone and that he would be available to play for his country as long as he thinks he still has something to offer, and the rest is "obviously up to the manager." The only way to know what Beckham says is to listen to whole interviews, it can be pretty funny (or sad) to see the way snippets are used to make and/or distort stories. Obviously this is true with all quotes in the media, but the British tabs make an unusual amount of money from anything they can make into a headline off Beckham--which seems to be just about anything real of fictitious. If you've watched his career at any point, its hard to doubt his commitment to any club he plays for and particularly his commitment to his teammates.
