Actually, the linked article is something like 90% “Congratulations” and 10% “But what about us?” And since I share both sentiments, I can understand where they’re coming from.

Prozac, or a mini-course at public relations school. Probably the classier comment regarding your new player’s call up to their national team would be, “congratulations.” Rather than going public with the more indentured servitude scented remarks.
