An Aerial Photo of Cobi Jones’ House

cobis-abode.jpgThe oddest things appear in my e-mailbox. Last night it was aerial photos of Cobi Jones’ house.

I’m not going to give you the website name or a link, because it looks like I could map this out, including street names, and if he were to get kidnapped or stalked or something I’d probably feel guilty.

But here’s the photo of the house. In case you were curious. Because I was.

(And I’m not vouching for its authenticity. I’m just saying this is what showed up in my mailbox. Okay?

And while we’re on the topic, Sideline Views has an interesting post about Cobi’s switch from player to coach and its effect on him and the guys he used to play alongside.

From Chris Klein:

“It’s different for us and it’s different for him. He probably has to make more of an adjustment than we do. We go out and we hang out with mostly the same guys as we did before, but now Cobi has to sit at the coaches’ table and evaluate players from a different perspective. I’ve dealt with this type of thing before, being a veteran in this league and having players move into the coaching ranks. From what I’ve seen, I think the adjustment is a bit more difficult for the player turned coach than it is for the existing players.”

I never gave much thought to the fact that Cobi will now be cutting some of the players he’s played alongside for years. That’s gonna be tough.

Over at The Offside Rules, sf posted a youtube clip pulled from some setanta show and they go into that house above and interview him in his living room. All I gotta say about that is, yeah, he's a great footballer but now that he's retired, can he come over to my place and give me some design tips?
