And Now, A Carlos Pavón Haiku (Sorry, I Can’t Help It!)

Please, somebody, make it stop! I set my mind into poetry mode yesterday and now I can’t turn it off!

Sigh.

I’m still not seeing any official verification of the Pavón acquisition, but who needs official verification to write haiku?

(And this is irrelevant, but if he comes to the Galaxy, I’m going to be highly annoyed that we’ve now got a player who requires an accent mark. I thought I’d escaped that in writing on an MLS team!)

But anyhoo. Your haiku:

A Haiku for Probable New Galaxy Player
Carlos Pavón

Four goals in one game
but that was against Cuba
please, Salt Lake, defect!

  Defect, indeed. Our battle of words begins tomorrow, as one of us will have to finally admit we’re the worst team in the MLS. Unless there’s a draw. Which is likely.
