Beckham and Botox?
By: Laurie | May 7th, 2007
I feel SO sorry for my fellow MLS bloggers. Stuck day after day writing only about player transfers and management firings and what happens ON the field.
Okay, yes, I love writing about these things too. But seriously, I have an incredibly low boredom threshold and no attention span. So I’m not all that much into writing EXCLUSIVELY about these things.
It is for this reason that I am unbelievably grateful to David Beckham. Because of Beckham, I can write not only about on-field activities, but also about potential Spice Girl reunion concerts! And shopping sprees! And nude photos!
And also about our lastest, most gripping controversy ever: Has David Beckham done Botox?
And it is a controversy, folks. The papers are reporting it, the Beckhams are threatening a lawsuit, and everybody but everybody is analyzing those before and after pictures. A “friend” of the Beckhams is reporting that plastic-surgeon-type doctors have been seen making Beckham house calls.
And of course the best article I’ve found (thanks, Martha) is Italian and comes to us through the wonder of my favorite tool in the universe, Google translation:
some friends have insinuated that the treatments to which they undergo themselves are not alone masks and peeling. Of the rest, David is obsessed from its image at least how much the moglie and terrorizzato to the idea to seem old”.
Yeah, the moglie and terrorizzato to the idea to seem old always frightens me, too.
Oh, wait, no it doesn’t.
The most important thing I learned here, though? In Italy, “crow’s feet” are called, “the so-called ‘legs of hen.’ ” Because you never know when THAT knowledge might come in handy.
Me? I prefer the character of the before pictures. Althouth I don’t particularly care what he does with his facial muscles as long as his free-kick muscles remain intact and unfrozen when he arrives in LA.
