Beckham is the Manliest of Manly Men (But Did They Consider Chabal?)

By: Laurie | October 26th, 2007

David Beckham is the Manliest of Manly Man. The poll says so.

Okay, so I don’t really get it.

I personally would have picked a guy who was a little less…oh…what’s the word…it’s on the tip of my tongue…starts with a “wh” and ends with a “ipped.”

But the “Ask Men” poll indicates that David Beckham ranks at the top of the Manly Men. As one example of his manliness, it even mentions his “fragrance line.” Because that is Oh So Manly.

  • The actual AskMen list is one of those "you must click and sit and wait forty-nine times" things. HATE those. I'm way too ADD to make it to the top.

I found the entire list on a blog, but now I can't find the blog. (It seems to have been replaced on Google's top ten by two references to this post. I am so proud.)

Your "roast boeuf" comment made me remember that Shia LeBoeuf was on it, though. (?!?) Also Steven Jobs. Because lotsa money is oh-so-manly.

On the Beckham front, though, news is that he just bought a $400,000 Porsche. So on a manly scale, that definitely inflates the size of his...um...testosterone levels.
  • Btw, is Derek Jeter and his Avon fragrance line of man-scents anywhere on that list?

I tried clicking on the link by my brain don't function so good right now.
  • I'm very willing to go on record and say that Wikipedia is the best invention in the history of ever:

"He has been charcterised in a french animation as hannibal lencter. What people fail to apreciate about Chabal is that he has been a very successful player in all of his life. His undisputed talents are disputable, because he doesnt khow to brush his hair. he is a great fan of 'la roast beouf' it is reported he has i vevery day at Sales training ground. He was a prominent member of the french ballet association."

That "undisputed talents are disputable, because (insert random fault here)" line is going to quickly be inserted into my arsenal. Also, I thought 'la roast boeuf' had something to do with Shia Labeouf for a second.

I'm with Sébastien. Any day. Brings out my inner wild man... I'm gettin' a Wallbanger of him. (and I'm not that interested in rugger, but I might try to learn about how it's played now, and I might watch his club... who's he play for other than the FRA natl?)

Chabal is a beast --a human version of a lion, in my opinion.
  • Justin Timberlake was number five. No, I'm not making this up.
  • Who was second place, Orlando Bloom?
