Actually those second level seats give you the best view of the action. I mean you aren't as close to the players but you can see each and every move made.

I suppose the reversed pricing scale is somewhat creative, but that pretty much guarantees they won't sell out any of those games. I mean, who would pay $75 for 2nd level seats?

Yeah Nathan, I was wondering how the season ticket holders would feel about these prices. I'd definitely get on the phone with my ticket rep and see if anything could be done to lower my price-per-game ticket for those games.

Now, if only DirectKick would lower their prices . . .

I don't think there's any accident that the cheapest tickets also happen to be those that are in the television picture most often.

This is the biggest sign that the Galaxy are crashing back to earth after three years of unmitigated arrogance and fan abuse. Past years of unmitigated arrogance were forgiven because the team was actually successful on the field. These days, though, unmitigated arrogance is also foolhardy and fan-base destroying.

So with season-ticket sales off (though you had to expect that given the Beckham surge and the subsequent eye-bleeding game play), the economy swimming in the septic tank, and a wake-up call in the form of 18K for the season home opener, the Galaxy front office is engaging in full-court-press on the pricing end.

I have to say, though, that even with the season ticket discount they gave, these prices are undercutting their season ticket holders, which is making it difficult to want to re-up and its only the 3rd week of the season.

On the other hand, great bargains for people who want to see some futbol and the team shouldn't be routinely mediocre this year. Could be decidedly average, which is a monumental step forward from the last two years.

But the tickets people. It's worth it.

I'd have to see your map to figure out exact comparisons, but these are very similar to what we're paying in Seattle.
