Beckham’s Called Up (and other minor annoyances)
By: Laurie | August 17th, 2007David Beckham was called up for England today. What did I tell you? @#$%!! Not only is he going to miss big games like the SuperClasico on the 23rd, but how much do you want to bet he comes back even more injured than when he left?
What I said about McClaren is still true.
The dick.
And in other heartbreaking news, Beckham will not be playing half of a gay couple on “Desperate Housewives.” Color me officially crushed. It looks like it was just a publicity stunt to make viewers pay attention while they cast two other guys I’ve never heard of.
Is this a depressing day or what?

Of course he is! Just as we are finally getting a chance to see him play with the team and he gets called up. Why, why, why?

I can’t imagine him not playing on Wembley! Against Germany!,even if it’s friendly it’s still huge.
MacClown needs him since Rooney is injured and Owen just a second after long term injury,Gerrard is also injured…+terry,+hagreavs. So pencil(see Crouch) will be the main stricker. Who will put the ball on pencil’s head…?
He needs this match to check David’s fitness before two VERY important Euro 2008 games. England is 4th in the group and for country like that to miss Euro is a big shame.Posted from

According this article Beckham plans on going to Germany and then go back to LA in time for the Chivas game. Here’s the site:
