They just figure, since the Galaxy won't be playing much in July (2 games I beleive), they might as well make some money on the side with these exhibition games. Are the Galaxy suddenly getting cold feet about the Magical Drawing Power of Beckham, and want to make sure the place is full by bringing in a few other big names (a month or two away from fitness)? Unless they plan to put Chelsea on salary and bring them out every Wednesday for a match, the idea of this one match making even a small dent in the Beckham "investment" is laughable. That won't happen. Abramovich and Kenyon know what the FANS reaction will be if they did the deed. Mourinho will be around until at least 2010.
