  on a different topic: Scunthorpe United (England) is scouting a player for the January transfer through LA Galaxy contacts. They won’t say who the player is but mentioned a central midfielder. anyone have a guess?

  I’m thinking it’s either Joe Franchino or Peter Vagenas. this article says that Scunthorpe is looking for an American midfielder with an English wife. Does anyone know if Joe or Peter has an English wife?

  Scunthorpe question isn’t completely off topic. Remember the Posh and Becks Ali G interview — many references to various Beckham body parts, as well as Scunthorpe, of course. Almost identical to this post then .

  Now I remember that Franchino wasn’t even on the bench for the San Jose game–maybe he was talking with Scunthorpe? Perhaps we will see Franchino out–Mathis/Edgar Davis in?
