The Person Who Made This Scares Me a Little

If the person who made this sculpture did it tongue in cheek? I’ll be the first to laugh.

If he/she was serious and sincere, though? To be honest, the thought leaves me a little frightened.

Either way? This is just a little…bizarre.

These photos came to me from Martha, formerly* of Italy Offside, who got them from her brother from an art show in Madrid. The email title was, “Sign #216 the end is near.”

I can’t say I necessarily disagree with that conclusion.

*unless you guys can convince her to stay.

This is a sculpture take off of the Pepsi ad w/ the big stars as gladiators. Not that creepy, i guess the sculptor just really liked becks in leather?

It's good that the statue has a name on the back of its...armor? It looks nothing like him. (Is it supposed to be from that Pepsi ad?)
