It looks as if right fullback Chris Albright may have played his last game for 2007. According to LA Soccer News:

After MRI tests were conducted on Monday, the Galaxy organization was not optimistic about Albright’s immediate return.

“He could be out for the season,” declared Galaxy coach Frank Yallop. “He really tore his hamstring badly, right off the bone. That’s another blow to us. He’s having an operation on Thursday.”

Wonderful. It’s not as if we’re swimming in players who can play right back. And Chris had really grown on me this season, too. I find his playing style interesting. And on top of that, he was on the preliminary list for Gold Cup and looked certain to pick up a few caps this summer.

But on the plus side, I guess this means he’s not going to be dealt to Dallas for Carlos Ruiz. Right?
