I tried to pay attention but was incredibly distracted by those shiny lips.

Guess when he and Bianca split, he got custody of the lip gloss?

He’s not snotty, he’s just wooden, doesn’t like this sort of attention I guess. Notice how he’s checking how he looks in the monitor to the right…he’s nervous.

On the field, I like Landon. Off the field, I can’t stand anything he does.

You know…glancing at the comments, they typify why I don’t read comments anymore on pretty much anything, whether it’s Galaxy, Donovan, Beckham, soccer, MLS, American football, NFL, college sports, the list goes on and on and on.

The things that people bother to comment on leaves much – MUCH – to be desired.

I’ll continue to check on this blog and read it – but I won’t be bothering with comments – neither reading nor writing.

Nicole we will miss your analysis of our worthiness to be included among the human race. We are sorry to let you down, we all deeply regret that we couldn’t hold up to your high standards.

    Thanks again you arrogant moron.

Ha. What’s funny is, I like Landon. But…damn, those shiny lips are distracting.

We all watched the same interview? What was snotty about it? I thought he was well spoken and honest. I guess we all see things through our own lenses.

    Nicole,
If you truly feel that way, why even come here? Commenting and reading other’s ideas and impressions is the whole purpose of the blog.

You go Laurie, we must never let ourselves be swayed from the study of the truly superficial.

I was distracted myself, wondering whether Wahl’s book had an effect on his interviews with other athletes. Might some shy away? Maybe others think he’s handy for announcements? Will most not know he’d written a book? Hmmm…

And Landon was glancing over at whoever was there with him, the ones who cracked up when he was asked about going overseas.

For the record, I always find Landon’s interviews to be thoughtful and honest and insightful — to the point where it’s sometimes hard for me to reconcile them with the player on the field (like the time he taunted…oh, who was it? Stuart Holden, lying on the ground?)

There’s a rage and a passion on the pitch that is so different from the person in the interviews. Always makes me think, “Where does that COME from?”

Campbell left Notts because the facilities weren’t good enough. You really think MLS is going to be such a big upgrade? Possible he comes to the US, but seems unlikely to me. And if he does, the Galaxy seems less likely. We already have two skilled but aging center backs. Not sure why we would need a third. But what we do need are more talented midfielders and depth up top. Why spend a bundle on what you don’t need when there is so much that you do?
