I’m sure Nathan is in the same boat as me — lots of family obligations and family time over the Fourth, so no posts about the game just yet. We’ll have Laurie and Daryl dock our pay. Oh wait, I forgot this was a free gig.

I was wondering about that. too. Someone is sleeping on the job?
It was a great game. I was sitting behind the south endline and from what I saw, Saunders should have been man of the match. It was very satisfying to see the Galaxy play that well without the superstars. Eskandarian is a nice addition. Nothing like going out there and proving yourself in your first game with your new team!
Yes, Justin, the fireworks were good as usual.

Good game vs NE, Sounders was solid and Esky was really good. He one the crowd over right away! lol Oh yeah the fireworks were good as usual.

What, no post about yesterday’s game? Well, I’m watching bits of it now. Ricketts in Gold Cup, Donovan sick, Gordon injured. So Eskandarian replaced Gordon as the starting striker. Good thing too, he scored in the 7th minute to win the game. Saunders started in goal and had a couple of great saves. NE was not at their best, but the Gals acquited themselves well and deserved the win. I’d be interested in hearing more from anyone who was there. And was the fireworks show great as usual?

Ricketts is playing in a Gold Cup game on Friday at the HDC. Is there a rule that prevents him from playing in the Galaxy game the next day? Mlsnet is saying that Saunders will be the goalie, which pisses me off, since Donovan would be more than able to play.
