(Is anybody else hearing the banjo from “Beverly Hillbillies” running through their subconscious, or is it just me?)

And yes, this is a Beckham-heavy week. Sorry! When you’re short on time you have to pick those low-hanging fruits. And they don’t hang any lower than Becks.

  Hey, I was actually looking for a place to buy Beckam Galaxy t-shirts for my daughters and I found this Scientology link to him. Does anyone know if this is really true, is he one? I don’t want to get my kids all excited about some hot player and then have to explain what it means to be involved with this stuff. They also like Spice Girls stuff, so I’m concerned there to.

  B3PO, current gossip says that David is NOT a Scientologist. He and Victoria are friends with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, but there’s no indication David’s interested in converting.

  There’s a rumor out that Victoria’s agreed to learn about the “religion,” but all of us cynics think that it’s just so Katie and Tom will be on her reality TV show. And the British tabloids say David is NOT happy about that. So I think you’re safe buying the shirts. You may want to hold off till August, though, because the Galaxy will be rebranding and will NOT be wearing the green and gold after that.

  Remember “Girl Power?” The Spice Girls for daughters aren’t bad for the soul…it was a nice change seeing that on t-shirts and lunch boxes…and…well just about everything for awhile. And the songs are just pop (with no cursing which may be a plus depending on daughters’ ages).
