Eskandarian Unable To Return
By: jen | March 11th, 2010
It’s a sad day for me and other fans of Alecko Eskandarian.
In an email Esky sent to Steven Goff of the Washington Post, he writes:
“As a result of injuries that I suffered, I am being forced from the game of soccer at this time. I have not been able to receive clearance by doctors, and therefore I must take a step back to focus on my health and recovery. This has been a very frustrating and disheartening realization for me, and I don’t think the reality of it has set in yet. However, after consulting with several doctors, it is clear that I have no other option at this point in time.”
Alecko has said he will post later on both Twitter and Facebook.
I can’t imagine how sad and angry he must feel at the loss of his career, and of his love. We all know what a fantastic talent he is from the short time he played with the Galaxy last season. Here’s that goal from the Galaxy’s win against the Red Bulls last summer.
