Everybody Stop by and Welcome New Beckham Blogger Jen!

By: Laurie | May 5th, 2008

beckham-brylcreem.jpgGood news, Galaxy fans! We at The Offside have our new Beckham blogger. And she’s a good ‘un.

Jen, the guest blogger for this blog when I was gone, is now our official blogger for the David Beckham blog. Woohoo!

I expect fun times, but without the cheapness and tawdriness that we might have otherwise.

But… Well, maybe with a little cheapness and tawdriness.

And hardly any gratuitous nudity or underwear shots. I mean, almost practically none.

Unless they’re really good. Or pretty good. Or it’s a boring day. Or something.

What I know we’ll see is some excellent analysis, love of the game, and a lot of fun. So update your RSS feeds and bookmarks, then stop by and say hi to our new Beckham blogger, Jen.

Jen - I expect a bottle of wine for being the first to recommend your services . . . and make it a Malbec. From Mendoza, Argentina. And make it a good’un!

Jen, it should be forwarded automatically to the email address you gave to Daryl before you signed up. But mine wasn’t because I’m AOL and AOL won’t accept forwarded email. So send yourself a test email — if it doesn’t work, you may need to set up something like a gmail account.

I really want to do an Ante Razov player blog. Especially after he retires which should be happening very very soon. Then his blog would seriously be just a once a year post. Me asking: “What the hell happened to Ante Razov?” Is this more an indication of my warped sense of humor or maybe, possibly a good idea?

Dave, you absolutely get a bottle of wine. Or better yet, a bottle of De Reyes tequila. It can only be purchased in Mexico and some friends of ours just got us a bottle on their trip. You know you’ve got good friends when they smuggle tequila into the country in their luggage.

    Melissa, I love it!!

You guys had been come over there and banter with me or I will be lonely.

Laurie, your enthusiasm has meant to world to me. Thanks chica!!

Oh Laurie, one more question. :) I still haven’t written my ode to Landon Donovan post. Can I put that here at the Galaxy Offside sometime when I get to it? I will check in with you when it’s ready to make sure it’s good timing for you.

How about the John O’Brien player blog? Or just a “what happened to that guy?” player(s) blog?

I would love to! But would I be able to start it in about three weeks? Right now I have finals and then I’m taking a trip to New York… Plus that’ll give me plenty of time to research how to make said Landon blog wonderful super fantastic coolness remarkable!

Just to clarify: those are college finals I’m taking, not high school, and that last bit was a quote from a Joe Iconis song. I just didnt want you to think I was some high school fangirl that would make some teenagery Landon blog. This is serious stuff! I feel so honored to have been nominated. :)
