Galaxy 0-0 DC United
By: Laurie | June 3rd, 2007All I know about the game is the score. I couldn’t even follow it on MatchTracker last night. (The humor here is that my hotel room has Telefutura, which I don’t have at home, but not FSC, which I do. Sigh. I didn’t coordinate this trip very well.) But my beloved Franct NT beat Ukraine 2-0, so nothing can make me unhappy today.
I was actually kind of amazed by the draw given the number of players we’re missing. And now that I’ve watched the highlights it looks like they play a solid game. (Verify this for me if you were there.) But they were done in, again, by an inability to put it in the net despite a number of quality chances.
Kyle Veris got his first regular season start. (Go Kyle!) Ty Harden played at leftback for Ante Jazic, who’s doing time on the Canadian NT. Ian Russell went out with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Mike Randolph. And was Tyrone Marshal injured as well?

The Galaxy couldn’t even have the decency to lose this one game, giving Real Salt Lake a chance to see what it’s like to not be last … selfish bastards.

^^Ha-Ha.
Anyway, they played well, except the scoring part of course.
Jaqua can’t shoot for sh*t! He had at least two clear shots that would have been goals and what does he do?! He kicks the ball nearly straight up into the air instead of forward!
And I think “Jaquanitis” is spreading to Landon, because he did the same thing when he had a clear shot!Posted from
