Game highlights from MLS via youtube:

I cannot. stop. grinning. about Beckham’s goal — I’m filled to the brim with girlish glee. I’ll be back with more comments. I just wanted to get the highlight reel up.

Does anyone know what happened to Mike Randolph? He wasn’t even on the bench for this one.

George… I haven’t seen nor heard anything to warrant any concern re: Mike Randolph. Then again, that’s not saying anything, really. I’m hoping he was just given the day off? I think Head Coach Ruud was using this match to test out Ely Allen, Carlos Ruiz, and Alvaro Pires. Since these are the individuals that recently cam off the injured list. I felt (from what I saw) that both Ely & Carlos seemed slower than the rest of the team and not as intuitive. Good thing is that next week our LA Galaxy has two competitive matches against hard MLS teams. So, this will be their opportunity to play “under fire”. And, just as a reminder: After next week, the MLS transfer window opens up again. I believe there will be a few teams that will actively take this opportunity to trade / waive / settle so as to finalize on the 2008 contracts with their players. I am very, very curious what is going to happen in our LA Galaxy. I’m sure by now, Head Coach Ruud has had the chance to see everyone currently on our team to play, practice, warm-up, and scrimmage.
On another note: EURO 2008 starts in two weeks. YYYEEESSS! Can’t wait. If I’m not mistaken ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Classic will show all of the matches.

I realy liked how we played in this game. I read many fans arn’t so impressed but it looks like they already forgot LA’s “performans” last season. All support to Ruud-he brought spirit and desire to play. He created the team that tries play on maximum of it’s ability. You can’t ask Gordon to be Van Nistelroy but you can ask him to be “the best Gordon”,which Gullit asks and gets from every player. Yes we still have holes in defence, but it’s not gonna change before we buy solid defender. Fact So the second hald was maybe the best fruit that this team can deliver.
Edson Buddel found his form and now we can breath normaly with Becks and LD out for NT: Gordon,Ruiz and Buddle can all play together. Can Gordon play on the right wing replacing Becks? Pires becomes better every game, Francline is just a future home-grown up super star,Cronin isn’t so scared by the ball anymore. Allen can be a good motivation for Rondolf that lost it a little bit in the last games. LD finaly has a team around that he deserves and a coach that understands his game.
And David certainly knows that Capello is watching and Bently waits for his chance. Poor Bently…there is only one “golden right foot” that still produces magic.
Can we Galaxy fans wish more having this group of players?
P.S. In his second season with Madrid Beckham tried to score such half field goal. After the game they asked if he realy believed that it’s possiable to be so lucky once again, because many players dream about doing it once. He said yes and that he would always try it in every chance he gets. So when I saw keeper left his net I had strong feeling :”he will try it”.

Must interrupt here to toot our site’s own horn. We’re doing a LOT of Euro coverage here, too. And we make it more fun than the dry ol’ official sites.

Do they post photos of the bikini babes’ Italian pitch invasion? Do they have tags reading “gratuitous nudity” and “beer”? I think not. We are better.
