A slim win like this against a double red card isn't a whole lot to cheer for, but a win's a win. At least you might not be the worst team in the MLS, and that would salvage something from this season.

I predicted over on Ives' blog that this last road trip of the Galaxy's would cause some trouble for play-off contenders and I was right (so I have to let people know because it happens so rarely).

The biggest thing here is what you noted: teamwork and team play. Missing for the entire season, it has really shown up over the last month (SupreLiga helped too). Josh Tudela, who was HORRIBLE in the first half of the season and got taken out to the woodshed by COLORADO of all teams, has been a serviceable center half on a team full of walking wounded. Obviously Mike Randolph has been a pleasant surprise. Still not a fan of Troy Roberts (who is 25 and if you are not a starting centerback by 25 or have people clamoring for you in a trade, well, I think its time to look elsewhere for employment), but the backline is much more cohesive than it was just 6 weeks ago.

Playoffs are not in the picture, despite the current show of life, but its so much better to see these guys play like and team and give us something to root for rather than having us trying to figure out how they are going to blow it again.

Re: Cannon - My impression is that he's taking this season very hard. I started to worry when he stopped constantly yeling at his defenders during the games.
