Kirovski and Miserablanzi NEED to go. Seriously. These two offer very little on their own and when paired together on the pitch, they are in continual back-pedal mode. They can't pass or hold the ball. They both cringe and crumble when an opposing a player comes at them with the ball. Yeah Kirovski scored against San Jose, but that is not enough compared to the times he has give the ball away. Please tell me if I have missed something in watching them play this first half of the season, but I see nothing redeeming in their appearances. Nothing. Get rid of them and look forward!

I am pleased to see Aleko join the Galaxy, we needed someone badly. Even an injury prone veteran such as Aleko my help fill the goal drought with a spark of energy. When he is healthy he has shown an apptitude for scoring. Which brings me to one of my pet peeves, not to critisize him for earning a living but aren't fowards suppose to score goals? How does Jovan call himself a striker?

Nathan:

I heard some rumors from someone in the KC FO that Arena has been looking into a couple of the young players that Onalfo has relegated to the bench (doghouse) (i.e. Harrington, and a few other) to help the Galaxy midfield/defense. You got any scoop on that. They way our season is going it wouldn't surprise me. Shoot me an e-mail if you get a chance.

We thought Eskandarian was off to a great start at the game on July 4. He scored withing 8 minutes, was continually hustling, and yet was subbed in the 2nd half. Was he subbed as a precaution against reinjury? The chemistry was all gone when he was pulled. Jordan seems too often eratic. Any thoughts? We also missed Kovalendo.

There is one other possibility we haven't discussed: Kirovski. With Eskandarian, do we really need Kirovski? And his salary is higher than the others, isn't it? It somehow seems unlikely, but he is another candidate for the boot, isn't he?

Thanks, David. I forgot Valentin was injured. Didn't he break his foot again playing in the USL for Cleveland? Poor guy. If Franklin wasn't gone for the season I could easily see Sanneh getting the boot instead of Patterson, but I guess that's the way things go...

In regards to Tudela, I think he'll make it back in the MLS or USL-1. I see him as an Ely Allen type, a guy who we all want to root for but who can never get it together on the field. Essentially a microcosm of the LA Galaxy.

Tudela plays with heart. But I have never felt that he plays all that well. He has good moments, but he lacks skill. I think we all keep waiting for him to get better but I don't think he's ever going to make it. I may be alone in this, but I am glad to see him go.

Full explanation of the rules here: http://web.mlsnet.com/about/league.jsp?section=regulations&content=overview. Can't waive an injured player unless you negotiate a settlement. Seems like we identified 5 likely candidates and only 2 of them can be waived. I guess you have your magic two: Patterson and Griffin. Unless a trade can be negotiated as Colin suggested (but I suspect trading partners would know they can wait it out and pick them up on waiver so we probably can't get much).

My money is on Valentin & Griffin getting their walking papers. Arena seems to like Patterson and Bowen is too young and has too much potential to be moved.

Wouldn't be surprised if we traded one of these guys for some $$$ or a draft pick, either.

Or we could trade Becks to FC Dallas or NYRB and just sit back and laugh.
