Galaxy Head to The Dick Colorado

The headline at the Galaxy website reads: “Galaxy Head for the Mountains.”

Ahem. Not to nitpick, but as a former Colorado cowgirl I have to say that Denver may be mile-high, but technically it’s not “mountains.” More like plains, actually. But don’t let the flatness fool you. The altitude is still a killer. I was out there for Christmas and spent about fifteen minutes shoe-skating on the road in a blizzard one night. I thought I was going to die of asphyxia. Let’s hope it doesn’t affect our guys the same way.

But anyhoo. Denver it is, for a game against the Rapids at The Dick, 5:30 Pacific time. (And no, I have NOT been able to overcome my newfound and totally unwelcome fit of maturity to come up with a good — and completely tasteless — Dick headline. The best I’ve been able to do thus far is, “Galaxy Make The Dick See Stars.” Yeah, I know, lame. I’m still working on it.)

I know you’ve been holding your breath whilst waiting for me to give you your link to the Game Guide, so here it is. For what it’s worth, the Game Guide is showing a straight 4-4-2 as the probable starting lineup:

Sideline Views is reporting that Chris Albright is out 4-6 months, so probably for the rest of the season. NOT good news. Let’s cross our fingers and hope he’s back for the playoffs. Which we will TOTALLY be a part of. They’re also reporting that Gavin Glinton is out for awhile — looks like he’s having sports hernia surgery. I can’t even type that without saying Ewwww and feeling my stomach turn. Get well soon, boys!
