Galaxy is STILL undefeated. (And Another One of My Guys Scored.)
By: Laurie | February 19th, 2007What can I say, folks. It pays to have me write about you. I’m serious.
Add rookie draft pick Josh Tudela to the list of players who’ve done well after I’ve written about them. Josh scored in the scrimmage against UCLA on Friday. When you add that to draft pick Robbie Findley’s and French guy Laurent Merlin’s scores on Thursday against Loyola Marymount… Well, what can I say? (I’ve just got all kinds of warm, fuzzy maternal pride feelings bubbling up.)
And I will use this power only for good.
My news is coming from UCLA and not from the Galaxy site, which doesn’t seem terribly interested in providing us with information, so I don’t have much else except:
“The Galaxy won by a score of 3-0, receiving first half goals from Landon Donovan on a penalty kick and Alan Gordon on a header. Josh Tudela scored for the Galaxy in the second half. The Galaxy played their first team for the first 60 minutes of the game.”
Galaxy Starting Lineup. Joe Cannon, Chris Albright, Tyrone Marshall, Kyle Veris, Ante Jazic, Josh Tudela, Landon Donovan, Kyle Martino, Nate Jacqua, Alan Gordon, Cobi Jones.
Looks like they pulled out a lot of the big guns for this one. (Although what I’d really like to see is who got subbed in –and out — after the first 60 minutes.)
Today the team heads off to Bermuda for those two preseason games. Funny, nobody’s offered me tickets yet. But for the record, I am still available. Just so you know.
