Galaxy Kickoff Pushed Back to 7:30

By: Laurie | April 11th, 2007

The kickoff for the home opener tomorrow night, Galaxy vs. Dallas, has been pushed back to 7:30. Because it’s not our time that’s important, it’s ESPN’s.

On the plus side, the reason for the change is to provide more MLS coverage. Which is a good thing. From the Galaxy website:

To correspond with the debut of “MLS Primetime Thursday” on ESPN2, the network will air a 30-minute pregame show, looking at the evening’s matchup and the rest 2007 MLS season, starting at 7 p.m.

So basically they’re delaying soccer to include MORE soccer. And I’m good with that.

^^Agree! But I am trying to get there early for the free shirts! Oh, and free magnet! Yay.

Oh and there is some concert by a band I have never heard of before the game kicks off.
  • Works for me. It gives the LA traffic go'ers more time to get to the HDC.
