Galaxy Play Chivas: Preview, Probable Lineup, and Your Handy Dandy Game Guide

By: Laurie | May 20th, 2007

First and most important, the thing you’ve all been waiting for (because I know that MY week isn’t complete without it), your link to the Galaxy Game Guide. You thought I’d forgotten, didn’t you? Well, fear not.

Okay, from the game guide, here is our probable lineup:

———————————-Robbie Findley———————————-
———Kyle Martino —- Pete Vagenas —- Landon Donovan—————
——————–Nate Sturgis — Kevin Harmse ——————-
—-Ante Jazic –Tyrone Marshall — Ty Harden — Chris Albright —-
————————————-Joe Cannon————————————

Memory is telling me this is the same lineup as last week, (but I’m way too lazy to go in and check it out.) Because, y’know, it worked out so well for us…

You can check out the probable Chivas lineup in the game guide. The one thing that concerns me a bit relative to last time we played Chivas is the fact that Shavar Thomas and Paulo Nagamura are both expected to start. Hell hath no fury like a player traded and all that. (Laurent Merlin falls into this category too, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him subbed in.) I caught about fifteen minutes of the Chivas game last week — just long enough to notice that Thomas looked a lot more solid than OUR central defense last week. I think the man has something to prove, and that’s going to be on display today.

For injuries, we have most of the usual suspects:

OUT: Alan Gordon (foot), Gavin Glinton (groin strain), Troy Roberts (hip)
QUESTIONABLE: Quavas Kirk (plantar fasciitis) and Nate Jaqua (hamstring)

Since I can’t watch the game, I’m hoping you’ll again post your thoughts about it in the comments afterwards. I can get a much better feel for what happened from you than from MatchTracker.

I really like Merlin. I'm hoping he plays well enough this year that the Galaxy regret letting him go. But "almost scored" is a good result against the Galaxy.

Your Frenchman, Merlin, almost scored. He came on in the last 10 minutes and looked dangerous.
  • Robbie Findley should always start in place of Jaqua. Jaqua sucks he has no pace and just pisses me off. He was aweful today.
