Was at the game, but watched the replay on ESPN360 this morning. Happened upon this awesome (and absolutely filthy) quote by John Harkes regarding Landon Donovan:

Umm, RudolphHitler (great screename for someone who loves to drop incendiary bombs based on a farcical sense of what a futbol game should look like), if you hate MLS games so much, why are you continually spending your time watching them and then commenting on blogs about them?

Maybe you should get out of the basement, put on some grown-up clothes, thank your mother for getting you all those snacks from the kitchen, and get out and mix with some people of your own intellectual firepower.

Galaxy still dominating possession, but not creating dangerous chances. Chivas going to get through on a counter soon it feels like.

They just showed off the Galaxy youth academy. For a team based in SoCal that is a lot of white boys on the field.

Ok. Galaxy overall have had the better of the play, with more attacks, more shots and more possession. They have been a bit sloppy in the final third and Buddle has made more bad decisions than good, including trying to lead a 2 on 5 break and getting dispossed when 3 defenders collapsed on him.

Donovan has been more active, but Becks has not been doing well enough in the middle. His passing hasn’t been sharp and he’s not involved enough in combining with Donovan. Klein’s been great though. Loadd of defensive work and an offensive spark on the right.

Defense is on the edge of being exposed by speed but an absolutely atrocious half from Sascha Kljestan has saved them from a number a scary situations.

I worry that the Galaxy have pretty much only Lewis to bring in for the offensive spark they need to finally breakdown the 0chivas defense, which has done well under pressure. Preki on the other hand has a wealth of options off the bench. First 10 minutes will be crucial. Galaxy absolutely have to take it to Chivas and pit them on their heels from the word go.

Second 15 look like they belong more to Chivas than the Galaxy – though G’s getting more chances.
