Galaxy vs FCDallas, Recap

By: Laurie | April 13th, 2007

I think I’ve figured out the answer to ALL of the Galaxy problems at home games:

Galaxy guys, when you’re playing at home, you pass to the guys in the white. Okay?

There. Problem solved. Expect to win all home games from here on out.

Actually, what I think really happened last night? I think Landon read this blog and he was so freaked out at the idea of having his contract spalmato’ed that he couldn’t concentrate. And seriously, can you blame him? The thought of having MY contract spalmato’ed gives me the shivers. (Although I’d personally spalmato anybody’s contract to get Zizou on my team.)

(Hmm. That sounds uglier written down than it was in my head.)

I don’t really enjoy rehashing lost games, so I’ll give you some links to some other folks’ good blog posts instead.

James and the Giant Blog
My Soccer Blog. I particularly enjoyed his comments on the ESPN commentary. Seriously, can you imagine European football cutting away from the game for a sideline interview in the middle of play? But I’ll shut up now, or my latent Eurosnobbery will start to show. And you know how much I hate when that happens.

It was nice to see Findley playing well. Donovan is so frustratingly inconsistent that it hurts. For Dallas, that robotron Kenny Cooper looks better each time I see him. He should be ahead of Eddie Johnson on the USMNT.

Findley and Donovan might actually have some potential. Donovan and Jaqua didn’t seem to click.

And I think Landon last night answered my “will it be Beckham or Donovan who takes the corners and free kicks” question.
