Galaxy vs. Houston Preview and Live Blog Tonight

DavisGonzalezTonight’s game is a rematch of last year’s Power Outage Western Conference Final which the Galaxy won in overtime, 2-0.

The Galaxy are undefeated so far this season, as are the Dynamo who have manage to overcome the loss of Stuart Holden and Ricardo Clark to have a great start to their season.

I have to keep this preview short as I’m spending a beautiful spring day with family, but here’s what I’m looking forward to tonight:

* Houston is without forward Brian Ching who suffered a hamstring injury last week. Without Ching Houston will have very little attack in the air, so look for center backs Gonzalez and Leonardo to have a ground battle on their hands.

* With that said, I think the crux of the match will be Donovan and Buddle against the Houston defense. The Dynamo has the best defense we’ve seen so far this season, so Buddle will need to continue banging them into the net for the Galaxy to win.

The game will air live on Direct Kick at 5:30 Pacific, or you can catch it on delay at 10:00 pm Pacific on FSW. I will be watching the game live on Direct Kick and you can join me here for a Live Blog of the match. Our live blogging is different this year as it allows you to read and comment throughout the game.
