Galaxy Won Again!

By: Laurie | March 10th, 2007

We won again in preseason, and not against some piddly college team, either! We handed the Houston Dynamo their first defeat of the preseason, 1-0.

The one and only goal of the game came from our very own Landon Donovan, who was apparently intent on fending off The Donald on the 11th.

A long ball from the back from Tyrone Marshall found Gavin Glinton who raced down the left flank before sliding a pass through to Donovan whose first time shot beat Wells from 20 yards out, giving the Galaxy a 1-0 advantage in the 35th minute.

So there we go!

Los Angeles Galaxy – Joe Cannon, Chris Albright (Troy Roberts 69′), Tyrone Marshall (Ritchie Kotschau 77′), Ty Harden, Mike Randolph, Peter Vagenas, Kevin Harmse (Robbie Findley 72′), Cobi Jones (Kyle Martino 61′), Gavin Glinton (Quavas Kirk 46′), Landon Donovan (Darren Currie 72′), Nate Jaqua.

Note to commenter Tom: I’m having a disturbingly hard time finding any info on our guy Kyle Veris. He hasn’t played in the last three games, and the only mention of him anywhere on the web recently is for the reading promotion last Friday. As you know, a week is an incredibly long time in the preseason with non-contract players. I’ll keep looking, but this isn’t feeling good.

Nice job, Galaxy. I can't wait till WE play actual MLS teams. That'll be in the CCC in late march. And how's Kotschau workin' out for youz guys? 'Cause he wun't good enough to play for Toronto.
