Happy Birthday to Our Blog

By: Laurie | January 23rd, 2008

birthday-cake.jpgI was just checking old posts tonight and realized that today is the one year anniversary of the start of LA Galaxy Offside.

Think back a year. Beckham had just signed with MLS. He was benched at Real Madrid. He’d been dumped from the England NT. And we thought the Galaxy had a shot at the Cup.

A year is a long time, isn’t it?

But surely things will get better this year. Right?

Whether you’re a longtime reader or a first time lurker, thanks for stopping by. And a special thanks to everybody who has enriched this blog with your comments. It makes me happy to know you’re out there.

Laurie

Here’s to another year, keep up the great blogging Laurie. You made the whole Beckham farce tolerable with your coverage.

Josh, I’ll see what I can find out about Abu Treika. Nothing showed up at all before the game that I saw.

Egypt looked extremely impressive in their first game — probably one of the best sides I’ve seen. You can tell a lot of their players play together year-round — they had a lot more cohesiveness than other teams in the early games. I’m curious to see if this hold true once the other sides play more together..
