Hey, It’s Franklin . . .

(any other parents of preschoolers out there?)
Well, this post is better late than never, although it may not be news to you anymore.
Our young defender, from Cal State Northridge of all places, is MLS Rookie of Year! And has been named Rookie of the Year while playing on the worst team in MLS. That makes the award an even higher honor.
Sean Franklin has also been called up to the MNT training camp by coach Bob Bradley.
As young as he is, he should have a fantastic career ahead of him. Now, hopefully, the Galaxy won’t trade him as they usually do with young, proven talent.

Whenever I see “Franklin,” I just think Arrested Development. But Hey! Shea Salinas! What can I say? I constantly make fun of that guy but only because we all love him up here in the Yay. Dear Shea: DON’T LEEEEAVE US!!! Oh, and congrats to Sean.

Having young children myself, I get the turtle reference. Glad to see the call up. Let’s hope he gets to play. And does well.

Man, I hate that cartoon–Franklin’s a little whiny b*tch. “Oswald,” on the other hand, rules.

Evan, I have to agree that Oswald rocks.
But no one is as whiny as Caillou. Those Canadians.

Wow, this is my first post on here in months. Anyways, I’ve decided to get Franklin’s name and number added to by currently blank Galaxy away jersey. With Lalas gone, we shouldn’t have to worry about trading away our young talent and watching them flourish elsewhere. Dammit, I’m still pissed about that Robbie Findley trade!

CACuzcatlan, you were watching the “Western” Conference Final, weren’t you? I got Findley envy too!

Sean-my-boy went to my alma mater. He signed my kids’ spankin’ new Franklin jerseys at the season finale. He’s a class act and he’s just a kid still. I LOVE him.
