Houston-Galaxy Preview

By: Laurie | October 7th, 2007

Does anybody expect the Galaxy to win this one?

Seriously, against Houston? Houston are awesome. They have, like, Ngwenya. And…and…Jaqua. (Whoa. Where in the world did they get these guys?!?)

I truly, honestly, sincerely think that the Galaxy have improved quite a bit in the last month or so. And this game is the litmus test. Win this, and they deserve the playoffs. Lose, and they’re just good at picking off stumbling teams. (Like effing losers Dallas and Carlos Ruiz.)

I want to believe they’re this good. It would make my life if they win. So c’mon, boys, let’s do it.

INJURY REPORT: HOUSTON DYNAMO- OUT: MF Eric Ebert (sports hernia); QUESTIONABLE: MF Brian Mullan (abdominal strain); DF Craig Waibel (R knee sprain); PROBABLE: John Michael Hayden (R knee sprain) …

LOS ANGELES GALAXY – OUT: DF Chris Albright (R hamstring); MF David Beckham (R knee); MF Kelly Gray (L calf); FW Alan Gordon (L groin); QUESTIONABLE: FW Edson Buddle (L hamstring); MF Kevin Harmse (R knee); DF Quavas Kirk (L foot); MF Peter Vagenas (L quad); DF Kyle Veris (R hip); DF Abel Xavier (L knee); PROBABLE: DF Ante Jazic (R ankle)

And yes, in conclusion, here we have the Game Guide. :-) (Which still has Alan Gordon playing despite that severe and unmentionable injury. But more on that later.)

I’ll be out doing things in the real world today and will have to miss this game. Give me your thoughts on how it went.

I wish to see a good game… I will watch it in the Net, because there’s no MLS in Polish television. I have so many channels, of course many of them are foreign, but no good sport channels, only Eurosport 1 and 2 and ESPN Classic…

My ESPN classic shows it tomorrow at 11.30 my time and yours as well. But I also try to watch it from internet…sadly all chanels are off line. Hope they will work somehow. Any way LA needs victory. It’s no metter how strong Houston is,in playoffs they meet very strong teams,so it’s better for them to show caracter and luck will be with us.
P.S. Are you a McLaren F1 team fan?

In a wierd twist of fate, many Chivas fans will be rooting for the Gals to win this one. I hope Jaqua scores tonight.

    That. Was. Sweet.

Taking Houston in Houston, that is a deserving win. Played like a real team. Huh.

    Where was that all season?

Happy sigh. (Although it was somewhat ironic that Jaqua got a goal off a Ngwenya assist.)
