How Did Beckham’s First Practice Really Go?

By: Laurie | July 28th, 2007

I know the first Beckham training session is old news, but this video is humorous. Sad thing is, this is probably how it really goes.

(And be sure to read the comments, visible when you double-click on the video to take you to YouTube. Some pretty ugly anti-MLS stuff in there, at least when I visited.)

Thanks to Charly for posting this and Sam for pointing it out to me.

watching the Chivas game right now and Carlos Pavon continues to be absolutely worthless. get rid of him now and let’s start using Buddle as a starter.

la galaxy is the worst team in the mls. they are horrible. they do more passing back than foward. horrible first touches especially that guy kirk. donovans crossing looked abysmal against chivas. pavon cant finish. gordons feet are like rocks. right back at defense got horribly burned on the second goal. bravo scored with two defenders and goalie in front of him. canon had a nice game but is still slow and got lucky a bunch of times. that one miss by chivas guy right in front of goal. wow is all i can say. alexi lalas needs to be fired. yallop sucks.

Three cheers for constructive criticism! But yeah, I kind of agree with castroviejo. Jazic wasn’t all that bad however.

I thought Gray, Kirk, and Pavon looked weak out there! I recognize that Kirk is young and developing though… I was trying to picture who would get on the end of those David Beckham crosses? I don’t see anyone? Donavan maybe?
