OK. Yahoo says that the Cannon trade deal has collapsed. If this means that he is not getting traded anytime soon, then phew!

Thoughts of corruption. Catching up on reading after a few days away, all the $ caps look even more like B.S. to me. There’s no “even field” with all of the ways owners with more money can use it — even to get around the salary cap itself — front office staff, coaching staff, allocation shenanigans, appearance fee promises, its like the wild old days of illegal NCAA recruiting. If MLS doesn’t raise the salary cap, the league is just going to get more and more corrupt with teams spending under the table.
