Josh Tudela is One Popular Guy

One of the benefits of writing for the Main Page at The Offside is that I get access to Google Analytics — the miraculous program that tells you everything you could ever want to know about trends for people visiting your site. It’s amazing. You don’t want to enter without a map, because you could spend days there, wandering around lost, murmuring, “Wow. I had no idea…”
I was looking at the “Tags” that people use to find what they want on the site. Keep in mind that this is the entire site as a whole, not just the Galaxy site. Eighty-eight blogs at last count. Also keep in mind that most tag searches aren’t for names at all, but for high-level, erudite concepts like “sex tapes” and “naked.”
(Now watch. When I go back to look at the Analytics for today, March 12, there will be a huge spike for tag searches for the words “sex tapes” and “naked.” Men, you are SO predictable. This is why we love you so.)
But I digress. In the tag searches, Manchester United stud/striker Cristiano Ronaldo is #10. Manchester United (the team) is #17. Underwear model and former Arsenal player Freddie Ljungberg is #33. The LA Galaxy are #38. “Sex” is #39. (Okay, that’s another spike I’ll be watching for.)
Guess who is #42, though? Yes, it’s our very own Josh Tudela.
He beats out Milan superstar Kaka (#43), Zinedine Zidane (#46), and France/Barcelona superstriker Thierry Henry (#55.) Oh, and David Beckham (#68.)
Josh, you must have a fan club out there.
Oh, and new (and currently injured) goalkeeper Charles Alamo is pretty popular too, coming in at #58.
I’m so proud of my Galaxy boys.

It’s because now that you know the option’s there, all of you guys are now going to go and search for the phrase “naked.” Duh.
